Why EduCore Exists
EduCore is a student-first open learning hub built around a simple problem: valuable educational material exists everywhere, but finding the right resource at the right level can take too much time. The project brings useful free resources into one organized discovery experience.
EduCore is not meant to replace universities, teachers, textbooks or established learning platforms. It acts as a curation and discovery layer: organize useful resources, make them easier to search, and give students a clearer route from discovery to practice.
The platform is intentionally lightweight. Core discovery and progress features work without an account, while learning progress is stored locally in the learner's browser.
Our Principles
A smaller collection of understandable, relevant resources is more valuable than an unmaintained dump of links.
Resources should be searchable by learner stage, subject and material type, with paths for learners who need direction.
The project prioritizes freely accessible learning resources and a low-friction experience across devices.
Descriptions should accurately represent what an external resource provides. Claims are kept conservative when source details are uncertain.
Students, teachers and mentors can help improve the collection by suggesting useful resources and correcting metadata.
The project treats maintenance, accessibility, data quality and discoverability as ongoing work—not one-time features.
The Learning Loop
EduCore was created with a give-back mindset: make useful educational material easier to discover and leave behind something that can help another learner. The project is not a claim that one platform can solve education access; it is a practical attempt to remove one small barrier—finding good learning material.
